Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world. Founded in 1839, it is famous both as a great sporting event and as a social occasion. People travel from all over the world to attend, either as competitors or as spectators.
Henley Royal Regatta 2019 will be held from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th July. Enjoy the world’s most prestigious rowing event and the highlight of the British Summer Season.
Unlike all other major international regattas, racing at Henley is on a knock-out basis, with crews rowing two abreast over a Course which is one mile 550 yards 2,112m long which makes the racing eminently watchable.
The key races are: Preliminary heats 3rd – 4th July; Heats and Quarter-finals 4th – 5th July; Semi-finals 5th – 6th July and the highlight of the week, the Finals on 7th July.
