Major Events
Helipad supports most major events in the UK to provide safe and efficient helicopter landings.
The volume of aircraft at major events peak can be heavy at the start and end of each day. To ensure that all aircraft arriving at or departing from large venues travel safely, Helipad is supported by the latest bespoke technology and qualified and experienced air traffic controllers.
Passengers to our major events enjoy the kind of facilities you would expect at most commercial airports - but the process to embark and disembark at our heliports is infinitely faster! Our ground crew will support you all the way.
Refreshments are available and, if the venue is any more than a short walking distance, transport is provided to whisk passengers straight to the event.
On-Site Heliport Management
Not all events require full airport services. For smaller events, Helipad provides tailored airfield management for the event, or airfield management and oversight throughout the year.
Night lighting, fuel, ground crew and fire protection services are also provided on request or as part of a package.
For flights from outside the UK: please advise us in advance to ensure customs clearance is made available.
Pilots and Operators
Refuelling at Helipad-managed events is usually provided on-site or nearby. We also offer fuel, fire protection, night lighting and ground crew as part of our off-site services.
Pilot instructions and any other related support information can be downloaded in the PILOT OPS area on our website.
Pilots and operators attending the larger events can have a long day, so we offer food and refreshments in our hospitality areas so that they are refreshed and ready for their passengers at the end of the day.
Off-Site Heliport
Helipad offers off-site night-lighting, fire cover, fuelling and ground crew on request.
Helipad ensures that every landing meets - and often exceeds - CAA and other safety standards.
